Snow in November??

The first snow of the year fell today, covering the white ground in 3 inches of damp, slushy, goodness.
I was recently asked what I enjoyed more: Rain or Snow.
Wow. Thats tough.
Snow may be dirtied with the travel of children to the sledding hill, but is it a fair trade for the color it brings? I happen to be more of an auditory person, and I want nothing more than to sit in a patio and listen to the rain fall, but is that any better than the mute dampness brought by falling snow?
